Product Feature Sonett Regenerating Salt

The Sonett Dishwasher Regenerating Salt protects your dishwasher, glasses, and dishes from unsightly lime deposits. The Sonett Dishwasher Salt contains neither anti-caking agents nor dyes or other additives and is suitable for all common dishwashers. The regenerating salt is a pure crystallized evaporated salt and is used for regenerating the ion exchanger in the dishwasher.

Application Sonett Regenerating Salt

What is regenerating salt actually necessary for? The Sonett Regenerating Salt ensures optimal washing results as it facilitates the exchange of hardness ions in your dishwasher. Every dishwasher has a built-in ion exchanger that captures the hardness ions of the water, calcium, and magnesium, thus providing soft water to the dishwasher. This is intended to prevent ugly lime marks from appearing on glasses and cutlery. If the ion exchanger is saturated with calcium and magnesium ions, the absorption capacity must be restored with the Sonett Regenerating Salt.

Dosage

Please refill the Sonett Regenerating Salt as soon as the salt requirement indicator in the dishwasher lights up. Fill the salt container with regenerating salt. Further information can also be found in the dishwasher manufacturer's instructions. Note: From experience, there are dishwashers that unfortunately display the salt requirement very late. To prevent lime deposits, you should regularly refill the Sonett Regenerating Salt, even if the dishwasher indicator has not yet activated. If the salt container of your dishwasher was completely empty, you should wait about 2 hours after refilling the salt chamber before putting the dishwasher back into operation, so that the ion exchanger has enough time to regenerate.

Important Note for Washing Results

The softening system of the dishwasher should be set 8 °dH / 15 °fH higher than the actual water hardness. Please refer to your dishwasher's user manual for instructions. The chambers for regenerating salt and rinse aid should always be filled!

Origin and Properties of the Ingredients

In rock salt deposits, the salt is broken, dissolved in water, and crystallized coarsely. This retains impurities. As a concentrated solution in the dishwasher's salt container, it exchanges the bound calcium and magnesium ions for the sodium ions of the regenerating salt, so that the ion exchanger can deliver soft water again.
