Component 2 in the Sonett Modular System: Only through the modular system with its separate dosing of the 3 main components of the detergent 1. active washing substances, 2. softener, 3. bleach is an optimal use of the individual substances possible according to the degree of soiling of the clothes, the hardness of the water, and the very individual need for the whiteness of the laundry. For a soap detergent, soft water is an absolute prerequisite. Through the modular principle, the foundation is laid to be able to use the unrivaled advantages of soap even with harder water. The separate dosing of the softener, adapted to the local water hardness, guarantees optimal use of the amount of detergent used. As with the detergent, we limit ourselves to only necessary and acceptable ingredients and avoid fillers, phosphates, and other softening substances from petroleum products like phosphonates, NTA (nitrilotriacetate), and EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid).

Application and Dosage
In combination with detergent powder concentrate: from water hardness 8.4° dH / 15° fH. In combination with liquid detergent lavender or sensitive: from water hardness 14° dH / 25° fH. For an optimal washing result, the correct dosing of the detergent, as well as of the softener and bleach complex, is of great importance.

Origin and Properties of the Ingredients
Zeolite A (sodium aluminum silicate), the main component of the softener, is made from the readily available raw materials water glass and sodium aluminate. This silicate captures the calcium and magnesium ions that cause water hardness based on the principle of ion exchange, thus preparing soft water for washing with soap detergent. Soda, made from lime and salt, enters into a chemical reaction with the lime in the water and thereby removes part of the water hardness formers from the wash water. Citrate, the salt of citric acid, obtained by fermentation of sugar-containing by-products like molasses, primarily binds the lime at lower temperatures.
